Synopsis: Stand Up Paddle (SUP) is the fastest growing water sport in the world. It encourages general fitness through strength and balance exercises, all while having fun in the water.

Stand Up Paddle (SUP) is a leisurely sport that requires no existing level of skill to be able to have a great time. This low-impact sport encourages general fitness through strength and balance exercises, all while having fun in the water. Like all action sports, it is important that you learn the correct technique from day one and Stand Up Paddle Boarding is no different.

The instructors will have your team paddling effectively in a short space of time, and ensure they leave you with adequate knowledge to paddle on your own. The team building sessions are conducted in a safe and nurturing environment and in a format that all can enjoy. The activity can be matched to suit your team, its dynamics and your desired team building outcomes. Whether it is a team reward for outstanding performance or a strategy to deliver team results.

Dependent on the location, you could be enjoying the beach and scenery at Sorrento, paddling in the water while visiting the penguin colony at St Kilda (depending on the time of the year) or journeying down the waters of the majestic Yarra River under the historic bridges and landmarks. Take in the city scenery by day or the night lights at dusk, all from a unique position on the water.

  • An experienced instructor
  • A Stand Up Paddle Board with leash, lifejacket, wetsuit, booties and a helmet
  • Learning safety on the water
  • Familiarity with SUP equipment & safe carrying of your equipment
  • Basic paddle strokes and turns
  • Correct posture and position whilst paddling
  • Safe entry and exit from the water
  • Using the paddle for stability
  • Advanced strokes for turning and catching waves (if applicable)
  • Basic core fitness workout
